The Bulldogs scored six runs in the fourth and ninth innings and four in the fifth as they picked up a convincing win to open the series. Each player in the starting lineup had at least one hit, with Alex Bedard leading the way after going 5-for-6 at the dish with one run scored and one RBI. Miguel Soto and Taylan Mullins-Ohm each had home runs and Drew White was 2-for-6 with a double to his credit. Brayden Whitchurch and Mullins-Ohm each had four RBI and Soto had three.

ECU 2, SWOSU 1

SWOSU had the advantage in hits in Game 2, but a pair of defensive errors allowed East Central to score two unearned runs and even the series at 1-1. Kemper Bednar was 2-for-3 while Zach Baxley singled and scored on an RBI single from Whitchurch in the fourth.
