WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The latest Bulldogs of the Week have been named and they are SWOSU Softball third baseman Amanda Moreno and Bulldog Baseball pitcher Gabe Jacobo. The award is bought to you by Wright Wradio, home of the Bulldogs over the airwaves on both 95.5 'The Coyote' and 100.3 'Coyote Classic'.
 
Moreno (Moore, Okla.) had a strong weekend at the plate as she helped SWOSU Softball secure a spot in the GAC Tournament on the final week of the regular season. She hit a team-best .462 in the series at ECU with six hits, including one double and two home runs, while recording five RBI and scoring five runs of her own. Moreno also stole two bases and drew three walks for an on-base percentage of .563 while slugging 1.000%.
 
Jacobo (Colorado Springs, Colo.) tossed a complete game – his first of the season – on Friday night to help the Bulldogs open a three-game GAC series at Northwestern with an 11-8 victory and give head coach Zack Saunders his 200th career win. In the game, he allowed 11 hits and eight runs – only four of which were earned – while striking out a season-best nine Ranger batters to improve to 4-2 on the year.
