WEATHERFORD, Okla. – A solo home run by
Kaytlin Donaldson was the lone offensive highlight for the Bulldog Softball team on Tuesday as they were defeated 12-1 by Cameron in a game ended by run-rule. Due to deteriorating weather conditions in Weatherford, the second game of the doubleheader was cancelled.
Cameron scored in each of the first four innings, getting individual runs in the first and second innings before putting three on the board in the top of the third inning. The Aggies broke the game open in the fourth inning with seven runs on five hits, including a grand slam that put the game in position for a run-rule.
After two groundouts to open the bottom of the fourth, Donaldson mashed her first home run of the season over the right centerfield wall for one of SWOSU's four hits and the lone run of the game.
Donaldson (2-3) started the game in the circle and allowed 11 runs – seven earned – on nine hits with four walks and one strikeout before
Miranda Grover pitched the final 1.1 innings.
