Setting the Scene
• SWOSU Women's Basketball will play their final game in November on the day before Thanksgiving, with a trip to Lawton to face Cameron on Wednesday at 1:00 pm
• The Lady Bulldogs are coming off their first conference loss of the season after suffering an 85-76 defeat in Durant against Southeastern Oklahoma State last Saturday
• SWOSU is 4-2 on the year and 1-1 in Great American Conference play and they are 1-1 in true road games this season with a win at Pittsburg State followed by a loss at #2/1-ranked Lubbock Christian
• Cameron is the alma mater of Lady Bulldog head coach Kelsi Musick, who is 5-3 against the school where she started at point guard from 1998-2002
• SWOSU leads the all-time series against Cameron 41-20 and the Division II era series 20-12, including four consecutive wins over the Aggies since breaking apart from the Lone Star Conference
 
About the Opponent
Cameron (1-4)
• The Aggies have battled a difficult non-conference schedule that includes a win over Adams State and losses to Colorado Mesa, Nebraska-Kearney, #7 Fort Hays State and Central Oklahoma
• Cameron has two double-digit scoring leaders in Maighan Hedge (16.8 ppg) and Amaka Nwakamma (11.2 ppg) helping the team to an average of 60.6 points per game
• Three of Cameron's four defeats have come by wide margins and have led to the Aggies allowing 85.6 points per game for a -25.0 point per game scoring margin
• Emma Andrews is in her fourth season guiding the Aggies following two seasons as the top assistant coach for the program, which included one NCAA Division II National Tournament appearance

• The Lady Bulldogs head to Lawton in search of their third straight victory at Aggie Gym, a place there they are 8-8 since the two schools reclassified to NCAA Division II prior to the 1997-98 season
Tyra Aska became SWOSU's career leader in steals on Saturday at Southeastern, surpassing the previous record of 175 steals held by former teammate Hailey Tucker
• Aska wasn't the only player to surpass the record on Saturday, however, as teammate Bethany Franks took away six steals at Southeastern and she's just two behind Aska with 176 for her career
Taber Beer scored a career-high 18 points on 6-of-18 shooting against Southeastern while also matching her career-high with seven assists
• SWOSU is averaging 10.2 made three-pointers per game this season, a mark which leads the Great American Conference and ranks 12th among NCAA Division II schools
Maddie Sperle was held to fewer than 10 points in both of SWOSU's games last week but she remains the Lady Bulldogs leading scorer with 14.8 points per game for the year
• Freshman Makyra Tramble has scored at least nine points in each game this season, coming off the bench in 5-of-6 to rank second on the team with an average of 14.7 points per contest
Bethany Franks was two points away from her first double-double of the season with eight points and a season-high 12 rebounds against East Central and she's ranked fifth in the GAC with 8.2 rebounds per game this season
Lauren Ramey erupted for 19 points on 5-of-9 shooting on Thursday against ECU, her second double-digit scoring game of the season and first since going for 22 points in the season opener against Washburn
Tyra Aska matched her season-high with 15 points at Southeastern, knocking down 6-of-13 field goal attempts to go along with five rebounds, four assists, three steals and obe blocked shot
 
Looking Ahead
• SWOSU will be back at home in the Pioneer Cellular Event Center on Thursday, December 5th, to host Oklahoma Christian in the final non-conference game of the season
• The Lady Bulldogs will then close out the month of December with a pair of conference games, the first on December 7th against Southern Nazarene at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center
• The final game before the holiday break takes the Lady Dawgs to Shawnee to face Oklahoma Baptist on December 14th
