Bulldogs Finish Road Swing with 2-1 Win at Harding

SEARCY, Ark. – Sandra Nabweteme scored twice in the second half to help SWOSU overcome a 1-0 deficit and defeat Harding 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at Stevens Soccer Complex.

Harding took the lead, scoring in the 54th minute after a scoreless first half, but they would not remain in control long as Nabweteme answered back less than five minutes later off an assist from Micaela Swain to tie the score. The Bulldogs would keep pushing and putting the pressure on Harding before Nabweteme broke through in the 82nd minute for the game-winner off an assist from Brenna McGuirk.

SWOSU had 15 shots in the game and eight on goal while Harding had eight shot attempts, four of which were on target. Kirstyn Dill made three saves in goal to get the win for SWOSU.

With the victory, SWOSU is now back atop the Great American Conference standings with two matches remaining in the regular season. The Bulldogs are back at home for each contest, starting on Thursday against Southern Nazarene before Senior Day against Oklahoma Baptist next Saturday.
