Setting the Scene
- A matchup between two of the top teams in the Great American Conference is on top Saturday as the #20/18 Lady Bulldogs head to the Duke Wells Center in Arkadelphia to face Henderson State
- SWOSU improved to 7-0 in GAC play on Thursday night, defeating Ouachita 104-50 for their 12th consecutive win and largest margin of victory this season
- Henderson State is currently tied for second place in the standings after dispatching of Northwestern Oklahoma State on Thursday night, 59-53
- The Lady Bulldogs have swept the season series against the Reddies in both of the last two seasons, but prior to that SWOSU had lost three straight games against HSU in Arkadelphia
- SWOSU and Henderson State are two of the top three scoring teams in the conference, with the Lady Dawgs leading the way at 85.7 points per game while the Reddies are third with 75.9 points per

- The Reddies bounced back from their second conference defeat by taking down Northwestern on Thursday and they've now won four of their last five games
- Henderson State leads the GAC in three-point field goal defense, holding opponents to 24.7% shooting from long range, while ranking second in the league with 3.4 blocked shots per game
- HSU has a balanced offensive attack with four players averaging better than 10 points per game, led by Pink Jones (15.9 ppg) and Hailey Estes (14.2 ppg)

- For the first time this season and 11th time under the direction of head coach Kelsi Musick, the Lady Bulldogs surpassed the century mark in scoring 104 points in Thursday's win over Ouachita
- The 54-point victory over the Tigers set a new best for SWOSU's largest margin of victory in a Great American Conference game
- Bethany Franks recorded her third double-double of the season and 13th of her career with a season-high 18 points and 12 rebounds against Ouachita in just 22 minutes of action
- Hailey Tucker was also closing in on a double-double and finished with 14 points, eight rebounds and five assists in 23 minutes of work against the Lady Tigers
- Fresh off their highest-scoring game of the season, SWOSU has moved up to sixth in NCAA Division II with a scoring average of 85.7 points per game for the year
- SWOSU tied a season-high with 16 steals on Thursday night, getting a career-high five from Taber Beer and four apiece from Franks and Tyra Aska
- Aska added 14 points and five rebounds against Ouachita, leaving her 35 points shy of becoming the 13th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point plateau
- Hayden Priddy was limited to a season-low nine points by Ouachita, but the GAC's all-time leader in assists dished out a season-best six dimes for the second consecutive game
- Lady Bulldog reserves Savannah Gray, Alexa Harvey, Lauren Ramey and Maddie Sperle combined to shoot 7-of-14 from three-point range on Thursday night and help their team to 13 made three-pointers, which is one off the season high
- SWOSU returned to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) poll at No. 20 on Tuesday, matching their spot in the outlet's preseason poll

- Next on the schedule is rivalry action as the Lady Bulldogs head to Alva on Thursday to meet Northwestern Oklahoma State
- SWOSU stays on the road next Saturday, rounding out their four-game road trip with a visit to Durant to conclude the season series against Southeastern Oklahoma State
