Soccer Remains Unbeaten in Conference Play With Win Over Harding

BOX SCORE

Searcy, Ark. – The SWOSU Soccer team earned their fourth Great American Conference win of the season, with a 3-0 victory over Harding on Saturday in Searcy.

The Bulldogs controlled most of the first half, as Harding would find themselves backed up against their own net for much of the half. Memory Phiri would kick start the scoring in this one, putting one past the keeper four minutes into the match putting SWOSU up 1-0. Sandra Nabweteme would add to the Bulldogs lead with a goal in the 10th minute of play. The two sides would then lock into a defensive battle for the remainder of the half as neither team would allow many opportunities. SWOSU would take a 2-0 lead into halftime.

Alimata Rabo would look to get the Bulldog offense going again, as she would find the back of the net in the first five minutes of the second half off an assist by Jasmine Heffley for her 14th goal of the season to extend SWOSU's lead. The two sides would battle the remainder of the match, but the Bulldogs would come out on top to improve to 6-2-1 and 4-0 in GAC play on the year.

SWOSU will return to the friendly confines of the SWOSU Athletic Complex as they take on Southern Nazarene, Thursday October 4, at 3:00 pm.
