San Angelo, Texas. – The SWOSU Soccer team would play to a 4-4 draw against Angelo State Friday night in San Angelo, Texas.
 
The Bulldogs got things going early in this one as they would secure a 1-0 lead in the opening minutes of the match. Things would get interesting after that as Angelo State would answer with two quick goals that would start a back and forth battle that would continue for the remainder of the match.
 
SWOSU would strike first as Memory Phiri would find the back of the net for her third goal of the season of an assist from Sandra Nabweteme. Angelo State would answer with two goals within seconds of each other as Trenadey Scott and Gabby Villagrand would put ASU ahead 2-1. Phiri would answer back knotting things up at two with her second goal of the night. Chloe Souza would add her second goal of the season to give the Rambelles a 3-2 lead going into halftime.   
 
The battle would continue into the second half as both sides would trade shots for the majority of the half until Nabweteme would connect on a penalty kick and tie things up at three midway through the half. Nabweteme would give the Bulldogs the lead in the final minutes of the match with her second goal of the game off of an assist by Alimata Rabo. Angelo State would not go away quietly as Cassandra Moosburger would tie things up minutes before time expired in regulation.
 
The Bulldogs would continue to trade shots with the Rambelles during the overtime period but could not get it past the Angelo State goalkeeper as the match would end in a tie.
 
SWOSU will finish up their Texas road trip as they head to Wichita Falls, Texas to take on Midwestern State on Sunday at 1 pm.
