Setting the Scene
- No. 10/7 SWOSU Women's Basketball closes out their final Arkansas road trip of the season Saturday in Monticello where they will look to win their 14th straight game
- Saturday will be a matchup of the top team in the GAC and the bottom team in the GAC, with UAM having won just three league games this season
- SWOSU had trouble with the Cotton Blossoms in the first matchup between the two teams earlier this season, escaping with an 85-80 win in Weatherford
- In that game, the Lady Dawgs saw their 18-point lead in the fourth quarter dwindle to just one point with 21 seconds to go (81-80) following a made three-point shot
- Since 2012, SWOSU holds a 10-3 lead in the series against Arkansas-Monticello including a three-game winning streak over the Cotton Blossoms coming into Saturday
- Two of the Lady Bulldogs' three losses to UAM in the GAC era have come on the road in Monticello

Arkansas-Monticello (7-14, 3-13 GAC)
- Enters the contest on a four game slide and in last place in the GAC standings after their latest loss to Northwestern on Thursday
- The Cotton Blossoms are holding conference opponents to 69.7 points per game, but scoring just 62.7 points per game in 16 league games this season
- Brittnee Broadway (12.8 ppg) and Charlynn Perry (10.1 ppg) are UAM's leading scorers, both averaging double figures
- The defense averages 9.1 steals per night, ranking second in the league in that category

SWOSU: Kelsi Musick (151-102, 9th season)
- Two-time GAC Coach of the Year, winning back-to-back honors for the '11-12 and '12-13 seasons and she has now led the Lady Bulldogs to four 20-win seasons after a 20-10 finish a year ago
- Musick has coached two All-Americans and 18 All-GAC selections, including two Player of the Years (Darcie Dick, 2012 /
Hailey Tucker, 2017) and one Freshman of the Year (

- Musick has led SWOSU to four GAC Tournament Championship games with two GAC Tournament Championships (2012, 2014) and two NCAA Division II Tournament appearances (2013, 2014) to her credit
- In nine seasons at SWOSU, Musick has a career record of 151-102, including a mark of 10-3 against UAM all-time

UAM: Tanya Ray (70-112; 7th season)
- During her time at UAM, has coached four All-Great American Conference selections
- Came to UAM after serving as an assistant coach at the NCAA Division I level for the previous 11 seasons (nine at Arkansas State as an assistant and two at Oklahoma State as an assistant)

- Arkansas Tech became the second team in the GAC to clinch a spot in the GAC Tournament following their win on Thursday over SNU
- Ouachita took sole possession of fourth place following their victory over ECU
- Harding has now won two straight games and has climbed into a tie for fifth place with Oklahoma Baptist and Southeastern
- Southern Nazarene has now lost seven straight games and dropped to 11thÂ

Hailey Tucker wasted no time in collecting her 7th double-double of the season against SAU, compiling 14 points and 10 rebounds in the first half of the game and finished with 20 points and 13 boards
- The SWOSU starting five accounted for 76 of the Lady Dawgs' 79 points on Thursday as all five girls finished in double figures
- The Lady Bulldogs have now won 13 consecutive games, extending what was already the longest win streak in the program's NCAA Division II history
- During the winning streak, SWOSU has four of their five starters averaging double digit scoring numbers -- with
Taylor Hedrick narrowly completing the flush with 9.9 points per game
- During the winning streak,
Bethany Franks is averaging a double-double with 12.1 points and 10.4 rebounds
SWOSU as a team is shooting 40% from beyond the arc during the winning streak on 137-of-340 attempts (10.5 threes per game)
