Setting the Scene
- The 2017-18 GAC regular season champion Lady Bulldogs wrap up their regular season schedule on the road on Saturday against Southern Nazarene
- Tipoff against SNU has been moved back to 4:00 pm in Bethany after crazy weather altered Oklahoma teams' schedules throughout the week
- SWOSU will look to sweep the regular season series against SNU having already collected nine separate season sweeps against GAC foes coming into the contest
- Back on January 17, 2018, the Lady Dawgs defeated the Crimson Storm 93-61 in a game where all five starters scored 13+ points
- In the GAC era, SWOSU holds a 10-2 record over SNU including a 4-1 mark in Bethany and the Dawgs will come into Saturday having won the last three matchups
- The Lady Bulldogs currently are ranked No. 10 in NCAA Division II and sit atop the region rankings

Southern Nazarene (9-16, 7-14 GAC)
- After a 10-game losing streak dropped them out of the playoff picture, SNU has won their last two league games against OBU and SE to conjure up a glimmer of hope for making the postseason
- SNU sits one game out of the eighth and final postseason spot with one game left to play on the schedule
- Adrienne Berry sits as SNU's lone double figure scorer, averaging 14.0 points per game -- eighth best in the GAC

SWOSU: Kelsi Musick (155-103, 9th season)
- Two-time GAC Coach of the Year, winning back-to-back honors for the '11-12 and '12-13 seasons and she has now led the Lady Bulldogs to four 20-win seasons after a 20-10 finish a year ago
- Musick has coached two All-Americans and 18 All-GAC selections, including two Player of the Years (Darcie Dick, 2012 /
Hailey Tucker, 2017) and one Freshman of the Year (
Hailey Tucker, 2016)
- Musick has led SWOSU to four GAC Tournament Championship games with two GAC Tournament Championships (2012, 2014) and two NCAA Division II Tournament appearances (2013, 2014) to her credit
- In nine seasons at SWOSU, Musick has a career record of 155-103, including a mark of 10-2 against SNU all-time

SNU: Derek Dorris (69-91; 6th season)
- Begins his sixth season at the helm of the women's basketball program after reaching the program's first Great American Conference Championships in the 2016-17 season
- Dorris amassed a 152-73 career record as a head coach at the high school level prior to coming to SNU
Checking the Standings
- SWOSU has claimed the No. 1 seed heading into the GAC Tournament, followed by Arkansas Tech at No. 2 and Henderson State at No. 3
- Harding and Southeastern have also punched their ticket to the postseason tournament, but have not yet solidified a seeding
- Barring something major, Ouachita should also punch their ticket followed by a four team race for the final pair of playoff spots

SWOSU Notes
- SWOSU claimed the 2017-18 regular season Great American Conference championship with their win against Oklahoma Baptist on Friday -- the first regular season championship as a member of the GAC and the first since the 2005-06 season (16th in program history)
- The win moved the Lady Bulldogs to 25-2 which marks the winningest season in the program's NCAA Division II history, surpassing the previous 2012-13 season where the Dawgs went 24-7 and made the NCAA Tournament
- The Dawgs claimed the outright GAC title in style against the Lady Bison, tallying the second 100-point game of the season (103-77 vs HU)

Bethany Franks tied her career/season high in rebounding against OBU, grabbing 17 rebounds and missing a double-double by a single point

Taylor Hedrick was active on the defensive end of the floor, swatting a career high three shots on OBU players driving to the basket
- Senior
Shalie McAlister had a good showing in her final regular season game inside the Pioneer Cellular Event Center, grabbing a career high nine rebounds and blocking a season best two shots
- SWOSU ends the season a perfect 13-0 in games played in Weatherford (9-0 in GAC games, 2-0 in non-conference)
- Despite a loss last weekend, SWOSU still remains ranked atop the Region Rankings
