WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The SWOSU Soccer team suffered their first conference loss of the season, as they fell 2-0 to Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday.
The first half was a back and forth affair, as the two sides would trade shots with neither team able to find the back of the net. The Bulldogs came close with a free kick attempt from
Sandra Nabweteme just outside the 18 yard box but the attempt was blocked by the Bison goalkeeper.
The second half was much of the same as again neither side would be able to put a point on the scoreboard until Hannah White netted the first goal of the match in the 59th minute to put the Bison ahead 1-0. Ruth King would find the back of the net again for the Bison extending their lead. The Bulldogs would continue to fight but time would run out as they would drop the match 2-0.
SWOSU will return to action Tuesday, October 9, as they take on Northwestern Oklahoma State at the SWOSU Athletic Complex at 4 pm.
