EDMOND, Okla. – After falling late in their opening match against Pittsburg State, the SWOSU Volleyball team dropped a straight-set contest against No. 13-ranked Central Oklahoma to finish 0-2 on Thursday at the GAC / MIAA Crossover at Hamilton Field House.
SWOSU (4-7) will conclude the crossover tournament on Friday in Bethany against Fort Hays State (12:00 pm) and Emporia State (4:00 pm).

SWOSU weathered a slow start in the opener, but the Bulldogs were unable to capitalize on a 2-1 advantage as the Gorillas came back to win the match in five sets. SWOSU had their best offensive output in the second and third sets, hitting .216 in the second and putting down a match-high 16 kills during the third with a .167 attacking clip.
Leading the Bulldogs offensively was
Addie Aman with 12 kills and
DeLayni Fine with 11 while
JaLisa Hollingshed put down nine kills and
Danusia Sipa Borgeaud added eight.
Kodee Avery guided the offense with 42 assists in addition to seven kills without an attack error.
Defensively, SWOSU got a career-high 33 digs from
Kaitlyn Dillon who was playing in her hometown of Edmond.
Lindsey McCauley added 15 digs and
Klemson Lancaster had 11 in the effort. The Bulldogs had eight blocks in the contest – compared to 14 for Pitt State – with Borgeaud leading the way with five and Hollingshed chipping in with four, including two solo blocks.

The Bulldogs put forth a gritty performance in the night cap, but they were unable to threaten the No. 13-ranked Bronchos. SWOSU was limited to a .138 hitting percentage with 31 kills while UCO had 49 kills and hit .377 for the match.
SWOSU was led by
Danusia Sipa Borgeaud with nine kills, but she was held to a .094 hitting percentage with six hitting errors.
DeLayni Fine added seven kills while
Addie Aman put away six and no other Bulldog had more than three.
Kodee Avery led SWOSU with 23 assists and
Kaitlyn Dillon had 14 digs.
JaLisa Hollingshed led the Bulldogs with four blocks as SWOSU had an advantage at the net with five blocks compared to four for UCO.
