BETHANY, Okla. – SWOSU Volleyball went winless on Friday with losses to MIAA foes Fort Hays State and Emporia State.
The Bulldogs (4-9, 1-0 GAC) will now finally return home to play their home opener next Tuesday, Sept. 19 against Southern Nazarene.

The Dawgs jumped ahead 2-0 against Tigers in the opening game, dominating FHSU in the first set before closing out a tight second.
After dropping a tough third set 25-21, SWOSU would flatline in the fourth with a match-low .163 hitting percentage and fall back even with the Tigers at 2-2 heading to the final frame.
In the fifth, Fort Hays jumped out to leads of 6-1 and 10-5. The Bulldogs tried to claw back, getting within two points at 12-10 but the Tigers closed the door with back-to-back kills before a SWOSU service error ended it.
Danusia Sipa Borgeaud led the offense with 20 kills while
Kodee Avery picked up 48 assists at setter. Defensively,
Addie Aman blocked six balls and
Kaitlyn Dillon posted 23 digs.

The Bulldogs went quickly in the final game, falling to ESU in straight sets.
Offensively, the team managed only 27 kills in three sets led by
Allison Russell, Aman and Borgeaud with five each.
Miscues proved to be costly for SWOSU, committing 26 errors in the three sets.
