Setting the Scene
- The Great American Conference portion of the volleyball schedule begins on Tuesday evening as SWOSU heads to the Kerr Activities Center in Ada to face long-time rival East Central
- SWOSU enters the contest with a record of 3-5 after earning a 2-2 split at the LCU Chap Classic over the weekend in Lubbock, Texas
- East Central brings a three-game winning streak into the match after going 3-0 over the weekend at the Tiger Invitational
- SWOSU has a 9-6 advantage all-time against the Tigers, including seven straight wins and victories in their last three trips to Ada

- The Tigers are riding a three-game win streak after picking up victories over Dallas Baptist, Langston and Cameron this past weekend at their home Tiger Invitational
- ECU started the season 0-4 after facing a very competitive field at the Washburn Invitational in Topeka, Kan.
- Eight different players are averaging 1.0 kills per set or more, led by Alex Campbell with 55 kills (2.50/set) for the year
- The Tigers are led by head coach Melissa Anderson, who is now in her second season at ECU after guiding the Tigers to a 7-23 record in her first year

- Led the Bulldogs to the best season in program history in 2015, winning 22 games and the GAC Tournament Championship

Kaitlyn Dillon earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team from the LCU Chap Classic after leading the SWOSU defense with 90 digs (4.74/set) in four matches at the event

Danusia Sipa Borgeaud is the Bulldogs top offensive threat with 91 kills (2.60/set) for the year with a .164 hitting percentage

DeLayni Fine set a new career-high with 16 kills against Texas Woman's and she is ranked second on the team with 69 kills (1.97/set) this season

Looking Ahead
- SWOSU plays their final tournament event of the year this weekend at the GAC / MIAA Crossover, hosted by Central Oklahoma and Southern Nazarene in the Oklahoma City metro area
- The Bulldogs will meet Pittsburg State and Central Oklahoma on Thursday in Edmond before shifting to Bethany on Friday to face Fort Hays State and Emporia State
- Next Tuesday (Sept. 19), the Bulldogs make their long-awaited home debut with a rivalry contest against Southern Nazarene at 7:00 pm inside the Pioneer Cellular Event Center
