Box Score (html)

LAWTON, Okla. – SWOSU Men's Basketball lost their fifth straight game on Saturday in Lawton, falling to the Cameron Aggies 71-62 in non-conference action.

The Bulldogs were outscored 34-30 in the first half and 37-32 in the second half, losing by nine to Cameron despite trailing by as many as 18 in the second half.

The first half featured a back-and-forth tempo, with four tied scores and nine lead changes. SWOSU led by three at 30-27 with 1:43 remaining in the first half, but CU closed the half out on a 7-0 run to jump ahead of the Dawgs heading into the halftime locker room in what would be the final lead change of the contest.

SWOSU got a bucket to get within two right out of halftime, but Cameron slowly continued to score and push their margin up to double digits where the Bulldog deficit would remain from the 12:43 mark until the final Daniel Eibel free throw with just 10 seconds remaining in the game that cut the mark to single digits.

Three Bulldogs scored in double figures, led by Charles Beauregard, Jr. with 18 points and two steals, Jerry Hurt with 12 points and Nick Shoemaker with 11 points on 3-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc.

SWOSU shot right at 37% (20-for-54) from the field as a team, while Cameron was finished at 44.6% (25-for-56) overall. The Bulldogs did commit a season low five turnovers against the Aggies, while forcing 10 and converting them into 14 points.

SWOSU Men's Basketball (1-5, 0-2 GAC) will pick back up next week with GAC play on the road in Arkansas when they battle Arkansas Tech and Harding on Thursday (Nov. 30) and Saturday (Dec. 2) in the typical scheduled week of league play action.
