Setting the Scene
- SWOSU Volleyball (6-12, 3-2 GAC) will look to take last week's 2-0 momentum into Tuesday's non-conference match against NAIA foe Oklahoma City
- The Bulldogs snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 3-0 sweeping of Southeastern last week and followed it up by taking down Oklahoma Baptist in five sets to close out the perfect week
- Thanks to the 2-0 week, the Dawgs moved into a tie for fourth place in the GAC standings
- Tuesday's match against the Stars will get underway at 7 pm inside Abe Lemons Arena in OKC
The Opponent
Oklahoma City (9-5, 6-1 SAC)
- OCU comes into the contest riding a five-game winning streak
- They have played four top-10 ranked NAIA opponents this season, taking at least one set from every team but one despite an 0-4 record
- This is the Stars first contest against a Division II opponent this season
- Marijana Bjelobrk and Stefani Nell are Oklahoma City's top two scoring threats, posting 160 and 154 kills respectively to lead the team in the category

The Coaches
SWOSU: Josh Collins (76-101,6th season)
- Led the Bulldogs to the best season in program history in 2015, winning 22 games and the GAC Tournament Championship
- Has coached 12 All-GAC selections, one GAC Freshman of the Year and two AVCA All-Central Region selections in four seasons
- His teams have earned two AVCA Team Academic Awards and one GAC Sportsmanship Award
- Added the duties of Director of Gameday Operations at SWOSU in the fall of 2014.

OCU: Jason Munoz (9-5, 1st season)
- Enters his first season as the head coach for Oklahoma City, previously serving eight years as an assistant for Oklahoma Baptist
- Muñoz was recognized as the 2012 NAIA assistant coach of the year and among the 30 under 30 coaches by the American Volleyball Coaches Association
- Muñoz guided seven NAIA all-Americans, three NCCAA all-Americans, 35 all-conference performers, two SAC player of the year award winners, three SAC setters of the year, one SAC hitter of the year, an SAC libero of the year recipient and a GAC defensive player of the year

- A pair of Bulldogs posted new career highs last week in the 3-2 victory against Oklahoma Baptist

Kaitlyn Dillon collected 37 digs, beating her previous high of 33 set earlier this season to lead SWOSU in the category
- Dillon now sits third in all of the GAC with 394 total digs in 77 sets (5.12/set)

Kodee Avery came within two assists of tying her career best, picking up 53 assists against OBU while also adding 14 digs, two service aces, and two blocks
- SWOSU is 4-6 this season in matches that go the distance, while only sweeping one team which came last Tuesday against Southeastern
- The Dawgs trailed late in the first two sets against the Savage Storm, but rallied in both to collect the come-from-behind set wins and eventually go on to win the contest

Jenny Tackett led the Bulldogs in blocks on the week, coming up with three in each game while adding 13 kills

Danusia Sipa Borgeaud continues to lead the offense in kills overall with 202 (2.69/set) on the year, followed by

Looking Ahead
- SWOSU will shift its focus back to GAC play when they host back-to-back contests against Southern Arkansas and Arkansas-Monticello later on in the week
- The Bulldogs will take on SAU on Friday at 6 pm inside the Pioneer Cellular Event Center, and then turnaround and welcome UAM the following afternoon at 1 pm
