- Southeastern Oklahoma State is SWOSU's third most-played rival all time, with 84 previous meetings between the teams in a series SE leads 46-35-3
- The series between the Bulldogs and the Savage Storm dates back to 1923 and the teams have met in every season since the end of World War II in 1946 (no games played from 1942-45)
- The last time that SWOSU and Southeastern did not meet during a season when games were played was 1933

- Has been the head coach at his alma mater since 2009, leading the Bulldogs to two winning seasons in the past three years

- Ranked 7th in career wins at SWOSU with 29, needing one more to move into a share of sixth place on the list with Jake Spann (30, 1939-48)
- Has a record of 2-5 against Southeastern Oklahoma State, including a record of 0-2 against the Savage Storm in Weatherford

Southeastern Oklahoma State: Bo Atterberry, 16-11 (Third Season)
- Has led the Savage Storm to back-to-back winning seasons, including a 7-5 record and their first bowl game since the mid-1990's when they earned a berth in the Live United Texarkana Bowl in 2014
- Was named the Head Coach at Southeastern after one season in his second stint as Defensive Coordinator at the school
- Previously coached at Texas A&M-Kingsville for six seasons, compiling a 41-28 record

The Last Meeting (Oct. 6, 2015)
- SWOSU was held to 177 yards of total offense and shut out for the second straight game, falling 8-0 at Southeastern Oklahoma State last Saturday
- The game is the lowest scoring game in GAC history and the Bulldogs have now been shutout in back-to-back games for the first time since 2005

Last Time Out (Sept. 24, 2016)
- After inclement weather delayed kickoff between SWOSU and #8/11 Henderson State for two and a half hours, the Bulldogs played the Reddies to a standstill for almost the entire first half
- The Reddies scored on a jump-ball at the end of the first half, then outscored the Bulldogs 21-0 in the third quarter to run away with a 45-17 victory
- Henderson State accumulated 405 yards of total offense, compared to 339 yards for the Bulldogs, who had 210 yards in the air and 129 on the ground

Kenneth Martey added 28 yards on seven rushing attempts

Checking the Standings
- SWOSU is one of two teams in the Great American Conference still searching for their first win, tied with Southern Nazarene for 11th place in the standings
- Harding and Henderson State remain tied atop the standings with matching records of 4-0 and both teams are now in the AFCA Top 25 poll
- Southeastern is tied for third in the standings at 3-1 with Ouachita and Southern Arkansas, both teams the Bulldogs have already faced
- Following Saturday's game, SWOSU will face three straight opponents (East Central, Southern Nazarene, Oklahoma Baptist) with a record of .500 or below

- After Saturday night's defeat against Henderson State, the Bulldogs have dropped to 10th in the GAC rankings for scoring offense (22.5 points per game) and total offense (363.2 yards per game)
- The Bulldogs are averaging 142.2 yards per game rushing, a mark that ranks seventh in the league, while the pass offense of 221.0 yards per game ranks sixth
- SWOSU allowed a season-high two sacks to Henderson State, but the Bulldogs offensive line still ranks second in the league with three sacks allowed this season
- SWOSU has converted 20-of-53 (37.7%) third-down conversions this season and they've attempted the most fourth-down conversions in the league, 14, with a 28.6% success rate (4-for-14)

SWOSU Defensive Notes
- For the first time since late in the 2011 season, SWOSU has allowed more than 40 points in back-to-back games, dropping the Bulldogs scoring defense to ninth in the GAC at 37.2 points per game
- The Bulldogs last two opponents have each run for more than 200 yards with a combined seven touchdowns and SWOSU will face the third-best rushing attack in the GAC this weekend in Southeastern (215.8 yards per game)
- SWOSU added their sixth interception of the season on Saturday, which ranks the Bulldogs first in the Great American Conference

- SWOSU opponents have converted on 10-of-13 (76.9%) fourth down conversions, the highest rate against teams in the league
