CANYON, Texas – SWOSU Volleyball dropped to 0-2 on the young season after being defeated by McKendree 3-0 (25-16, 26-18, 25-18) on Friday afternoon at the West Texas A&M Buff Classic. The Bulldogs will play again later on Friday, facing Adams State in a match scheduled for 5:30 pm.
Offensive struggles were again an issue for the Bulldogs as SWOSU had a hitting percentage of .102 for the match with 27 kills against 18 hitting errors. Contributing to that was eight blocks by McKendree, who was not faced by the Bulldogs block attempts, hitting .423 for the match with 40 kills and just seven hitting errors.
Carly Zak again rose to the occasion, leading the Bulldogs offensively with 12 kills and a .182 hitting percentage in the match.
Addie Aman and
Paige Holt had four kills apiece while four other players combined for SWOSU's other seven kills.
Kayla Hebert had a team-best 16 assists and
Kaitlyn Dillon led the way defensively with 10 digs.
