MAGNOLIA, Ark. – SWOSU Softball bounced back from a run-rule defeat and challenged Southern Arkansas to the end of Game 2, but dropped the first two games of a four-game conference series against the Muleriders on Friday. The teams will play a noon doubleheader on Saturday to conclude the series.

Taya Haney in the fourth inning as their lone run. Southern Arkansas scored three runs in the second and fifth inning and a walkoff run in the sixth to complete the run-rule.

Miranda McDonald had hits for the Bulldogs, but Haney (2-5) took the loss after pitching the first 3.1 innings and allowing nine hits and five runs.
Southern Arkansas 3, SWOSU 2Box Score The Bulldogs were again held to just three hits in the second game, getting two runs across in the fourth inning before SAU answered with one in the bottom of the inning that proved to be deciding run. McDonald, Kennedi Jackson and
Larie Amos had hits for SWOSU with Jackson coming through with the RBI hit.
Amos (1-2) was also in the circle for SWOSU but took the loss after giving up six hits and three runs in the first 3.1 innings before
Rileigh Ricken closed the game out and allowed just one hit in 2.2 innings of action.
