WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Oklahoma City shot 68.2% from the field in the second half and defeated the SWOSU Men's Basketball team 80-59 in exhibition action on Monday night at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center.
SWOSU was cold from the field in the first half, shooting just 26.1% (6-of-23) from the field but headed into the break down just two at 26-24. Both teams opened up offensively in the second half, but it was the Stars who used an 11-2 run to open up a 52-40 lead with 9:06 to play. OCU would eventually run their lead to 21 on a last-minute three pointer that provided the final margin.
The Bulldogs got 13 points and seven rebounds from
Reshardd Harris before he became one of four Bulldogs who fouled out in the closing minutes.
Devin Pugh added 10 points and
Altez Davis had nine while
Collin Jennings had a team-best eight rebounds and
Rashon Thomas dished out a team-high three assists.
SWOSU concludes exhibition play on Saturday in Oklahoma City against Mid-America Christian.
