The second set saw five ties and three lead changes, with SWOSU overcoming an early 4-1 deficit and using a six-point run on the serve of Kayla Hebert to take control with a 13-9 lead. Kelsi Schmidtberger finished the set off with a kill at 25-19.

SWOSU scored the first three points of the third set and never looked back, building a lead as high as eight at 11-3 and 16-8 to stay in control. UAM rallied for six straight points mid-set and eventually got within one at 19-18 before Paige Holt got a kill to extend the lead. Zak and Schmidtberger got back-to-back kills to push the set to match point and the Dawgs wrapped up the victory on an attack error by UAM at 25-20.

Zak, who recorded the 900th kill of her career on Friday night, was again magnificent, leading the Bulldogs with 15 kills and an astounding .464 hitting percentage with just two hitting errors. She nearly recorded a double-double with nine digs, three assists and one block also to her credit. Dressendorfer added 10 kills and five digs as the duo helped SWOSU hit .274 for the match.

"We had a short time to rest for today's game, but we really came together and put together a complete performance," SWOSU Head Coach Josh Collins said. "Carly played lights out and was a huge part of our victory. We're feeling really confident right now and we'll look to carry that mindset into our road games next week."

With their third straight victory, the Bulldogs are now three games over .500 at 10-7 for the year, while they also improve to 5-2 in Great American Conference play. The Dawgs are on the road for three games next week, beginning with a non-conference match at Southwestern Christian on Thursday evening.
