Setting the Scene- Riding high with a two-game win streak, the SWOSU Football team now heads on their longest road trip of the season to face Arkansas-Monticello
- The Bulldogs enter the game 2-1 while UAM is winless following a 34-28 defeat at Northwestern Oklahoma State last weekend
- It will be the first trip for SWOSU to Monticello since a 35-21 defeat in the 2011 season finale
- SWOSU is 2-8 in conference road games played in Arkansas since the formation of the Great American Conference
- The Bulldogs are 2-1 for the second time in the last three seasons and they're looking to start the year 3-1 for the second straight year

Karl Hodge is ranked fifth in the GAC in rushing with an average of 84.7 yards per game and his three touchdowns is third among conference running backs

Devin Benton now leads all of NCAA Division II with 10.0 tackles for loss through three games. His 5.0 TFL is the third-most in a game this season by a Division II player
- Benton leads the team with 16 solo tackles and he's tied for fourth with 25 total stops

Jake Doyle has 5.5 tackles for loss and ranks behind only Benton among GAC players in that category
- Doyle added another sack to his total against SAU and he now leads SWOSU and ranks third in the conference with 2.0

Kevin Joseph broke up four passes against Southern Arkansas and now has six for the season, ranking him second in the GAC

Dalton Jackson continues to handle both kicking and punting duties for the Bulldogs
- Jackson booted a career long 56 yard punt against Southern Arkansas, upping his average to 35.9 yards per punt
- SWOSU attempted their first field goal of the season on their first drive against SAU, but Jackson pushed his first career attempt wide left from 29 yards out

Jared Rayburn have combined to make all 15 kickoff returns for the Bulldogs, averaging a combined 18.2 yards per attempt
- Boyd ranks fourth in the GAC with an average of 23.4 yards per kick return

Scouting Arkansas-Monticello- Winless at 0-3 following a 34-28 defeat at Northwestern Oklahoma State last Saturday
- Previously dropped two shootouts against East Central and Southeastern Oklahoma State
- Ranked third in the GAC in scoring with an average of 37.0 points per game but ninth in scoring defense, allowing 41.3 points on average
- Have used two quarterbacks extensively, including Hunter Leppert, who has thrown for 645 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions the past two games
- Running backs Rod Smith and Hunter Leppert have both rushed for more than 100 yards on the year
- Kick returner Mike Early leads the GAC with an average of 37.3 yards per return and he was named GAC Specialist of the Week on September 8
- Defense is led by lineman Louis Curry, who has 18 tackles, five tackles for loss, two sacks and one forced fumble
