STILLWATER, Okla. – The SWOSU Women's Basketball team opened up their exhibition series against No. 20-ranked Oklahoma State in Gallagher-Iba Arena. Oklahoma State came out on top 91-53.
Kimmi Sawatzky made her return from a season-ending injury last year to lead the team with 19 points on 7-12 shooting. She shot a game-high 50 percent from behind the arc, knocking down four threes in the contest.
Jennifer Williams and
Chelsea Bates had strong outings as well, chipping in 14 and 11 points respectively. Bates also dished out a game-high three assists.
Korina Chapman pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
The Lady Dawgs will return to the Pioneer Cellular Event Center on Friday, November 14 to give the home fans a first glimpse at the team. Tip-off is set for 5:30 PM.
