Southwestern Oklahoma State Athletics

Jared Steward joins the SWOSU Athletic Department as a Graduate Assistant after working three years (2022–2025) as a student worker in the Sports Information Department. In his GA role, he supports multiple areas of the department, including operations, compliance, and sports information.

In operations, Steward helps manage the daily needs of all 13 SWOSU athletic programs, assisting with budgets, scholarships, and team travel. On the sports information side, he serves as a gameday statistician, writes previews, recaps, and feature stories for the SWOSU Athletics website, and contributes to social media coverage.

A native of Oklahoma and graduate of Carl Albert High School, Steward earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from SWOSU in just three years, graduating magna cum laude in spring 2025. He is now pursuing a master’s degree in Sports Management while continuing his GA duties through 2027.
