Southwestern Oklahoma State Athletics

Colby Bryer became a Creative Media Graduate Assistant for SWOSU Athletics beginning in the fall of 2024 following four years of service as a student worker for the Bulldogs. 

Bryer will assist with all creative efforts for the athletic department in his role including content creation, social media management, and other day-to-day departmental needs. 

As a student worker from 2020-24 Bryer worked under, and was mentored by, a pair of Bulldogs who went on to work at Division I athletic departments. Jacob Cope -- former Football Recruiting Content Specialist for the University of Oklahoma -- and Doug Self -- current Associate Communications Director at Kansas University. 

With a deep-rooted passion for sports, he has been surrounded by athletics his entire life. Bryer played basketball from a young age and all throughout high school before his journey into sports media was jump started in 2019 when he began creating video content for his high school football team.

Originally from Forgan, Oklahoma, Bryer graduated from SWOSU with a graphic design degree in the spring of 2024 and will be pursing a master's degree in Sports Management through 2026.
