Ellen Trotter

Ellen Trotter enters her second year on the SWOSU Soccer coaching staff as a graduate assistant for the 2017 season.

In her first year of coaching the Dawgs, Trotter helped lead SWOSU to a 12-win season and a regular season Great American Conference championship. In the postseason tournament as the number-one seed, the Bulldogs advanced to the championship against Harding - eventually falling to the Lady Bisons in heartbreaking sudden death penalty kicks. SWOSU placed nine members on the All-Conference team including two D2CCA All-Americans in Alimata Rabo and Sandra Nabweteme.

Trotter most recently was an assistant coach for the Weatherford High School girls soccer team in 2015-16 following a standout playing career at Northwestern Oklahoma State. She played in 69 matches for the Rangers, making 52 starts, from 2011-14 while playing a variety of positions. As a junior in 2013, Trotter was named the team captain and she was a Second Team All-Great American Conference selection at the conclusion of her senior campaign in 2014.

A native of Phoenix, Ariz., Trotter earned her bachelor’s degree in Health & Sports Science from Northwestern Oklahoma State in 2014. She is now pursuing a master’s degree in Business Administration from SWOSU.
