Taylor Hansen

Taylor Hansen joins SWOSU Softball as an assistant for the 2018 season and will coach outfield and the catchers for the Bulldogs.  

After Hansen’s playing career was complete, she spent one season as an assistant coach at Kalamazoo College for the 2017 season in her home state of Michigan.

Hansen played four years at NCAA Division I North Dakota University in the Big Sky Conference, playing second base, pitcher, and in the outfield. She was named to the Big Sky All-Academic Team in each of her final three playing seasons and was also recognized as a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Scholar Athlete.

During her senior season in 2016, Hansen was named the Big Sky Player of the Week on March 22 after posting a .471 average during the weekend series including recording seven RBIs and two doubles.

A native of Dexter, Michigan, Hansen holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from North Dakota and will pursue her master’s in Sports Management beginning in the fall of 2017.
