2013 (Junior): Started all 11 games for the Bulldogs at inside linebacker…Tied for fourth on the team in tackles with 65 (33 solo, 32 assist) stops…Also recorded 2.0 tackles for loss and one pass breakup…Intercepted his lone pass of the year at Southern Arkansas (Sept. 21)…Recorded at least three tackles in each game and made seven or more stops in five games…Made a season-high 11 tackles against Arkansas Tech (Sept. 14)…Blocked a kick against Harding (Sept. 5) in the season opener…Earned third SWOSU letter.
 
2012 (Sophomore): Appeared in all 10 games as a sophomore, making nine starts at the inside linebacker position…Finished as the team’s third-leading tackler with 71 stops (35 unassisted, 36 assisted) for the year…Recorded 3.0 tackles for loss, one sack and two fumble recoveries…Made at least three tackles in every game, including a season-high 13 (8 UA, 5 A) at Southern Arkansas in week three…Had seven tackles and 1.5 TFL against FCS foe Stephen F. Austin in the season opener…Recovered a fumble in back-to-back games against East Central and Southern Arkansas…Earned second SWOSU letter.
 
2011 (Redshirt Freshman): Ended his freshman season at SWOSU with 43 tackles, including two for losses of 12 yards…Had 15 tackles and a sack in a two-game stretch against GAC heavyweights East Central and Ouachita Baptist…Recovered a fumble against Southern Arkansas…Earned first SWOSU letter.
 
University of Oklahoma: Spent the 2010 season at the University of Oklahoma where he was named the Scout Team Player-of-the-Year.
 
Weatherford HS: Multiple all-state selection at Weatherford High School where he led team to an 11-1 record and a berth in the Class 4A semifinals in 2009…Rushed for more than 3,000 yards in his career, including 857 yards and 16 touchdowns as a senior…Also caught 26 passes for 301 yards and three scores…Team leader on defense side of ball, finishing with 160 tackles, four sacks, an interception and three blocked kicks...Graduated with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
 
Personal: Parents are Keith and Kathy Sawatzky…Has four sisters, Kara, Krystal, Kally and Kimmi…Younger sister Kimmi is a senior guard on the SWOSU women’s basketball team…Majoring in business finance.
