Southwestern Oklahoma State Athletics

Marquise Cunningham was elevated to full-time on Coach Rice's staff for the spring of 2025 semester following two years as a graduate assistant at SWOSU. He'll coach the defensive line in 2025.  
 
Cunningham has now spent five years in total at SWOSU, first as a player from 2020-22 before he transitioned to a coach after his playing career ended. He came to Weatherford from Los Medanos Junior College where he was a First Team All-Conference selection on defense.
 
Originally from Tracy, California, Cunningham holds two degrees from SWOSU -- a bachelor's in exercise science and a master's in sports management.
