Eugene Bethea joined the SWOSU Football coaching staff in the spring of 2019 and he will coach the Bulldog Running Backs in his first season.
This is the first coaching position for Bethea, who played five years of college football, redshirting at Fort Scott CC before transfering to Southeastern Louisiana where he played for SWOSU Head Coach Chet Pobolish and Offensive Coordinator Tyler Hennes. As a senior, Bethea rushed for 596 yards and five touchdowns on 113 carries, ranking second on the team in both categories.
A native of Delray Beach, Fla., Bethea is pursuing a master's degree in Sports Management from SWOSU.
