2013 (Junior): Honorable Mention All-Great American Conference selection as a junior…Enters his senior season ranked sixth in receptions (105) and eighth in receiving yards (1,135) at SWOSU in the NCAA Division II era…Played in nine games, making eight starts at the wideout position…Bulldogs third-leading receiver as a junior, finishing with 40 receptions for 461 yards and four touchdowns…Had at least two receptions in each game he played…Also returned eight punts and six kickoffs for the Bulldogs…Ranked fourth on the team in all-purpose yards with 677...Hauled in a pair of touchdown passes at Henderson State (Oct. 12)…Had a season-best 94 receiving yards on six receptions, including a season-long 57-yard touchdown at Arkansas Tech (Sept. 14)…Caught a season-high seven passes at Southern Arkansas (Sept. 21)…Topped the 100-yard mark in all-purpose yards in both of the first two games of the season, vs. Harding (Sept. 5) and at Arkansas Tech…Had two kickoff returns of beyond 50 yards…Earned third SWOSU letter.
 
2012 (Sophomore): Battled injuries to play in six games during the 2012 season, starting the first five games before returning for the season finale against Harding…Ranked second on the team with 36 receptions for 386 yards, a team-high average of 64.3 yards per game…Hauled in a pair of touchdown passes…Also was a primary kick and punt returner for the Bulldogs…Had eight catches for 99 yards and one touchdown in the opener at FCS-opponent Stephen F. Austin…Caught a season-high of nine passes in back-to-back weeks against Southern Arkansas and Henderson State…Broke off a season-long 36-yard kick return against Henderson State…Earned second SWOSU letter.
 
2011 (Freshman): Finished productive freshman year with 29 catches for 288 yards and a touchdown...Best game was against Harding University when he made nine catches for 90 yards and a touchdown reception of 31 yards...Also caught six passes for 88 yards, including a long of 22 yards against Northeastern State…Earned first SWOSU letter.
 
Dallas Christian HS: Caught 58 passes for 1,127 yards and 11 touchdowns…First-team, all-district and member of state semifinalist team under Coach Mike Wheeler…Academic all-state selection and named a Sonic Scholar Athlete-of-the-Week...Also played basketball and ran track.
 
Personal: Parents are Dawn and Scott Smithey…Has two older brothers, David and Austin…Brother Austin was a member of the SWOSU football coaching staff in 2013 …Majoring in history.
