COLBY, Kan. – Reagan McIntyre picked up where she left off a season ago, claiming the women's all-around championship for the second consecutive year as SWOSU Rodeo opened its 2026-27 season at the Colby Community College Rodeo over the weekend.
 
McIntyre scored in both Breakaway and Goat Tying to earn the all-around crown. She finished fourth in the Breakaway average after clocking a 2.7 in the long round and improving to 2.4 in the short round, where she placed fourth. In Goat Tying, McIntyre posted times of 7.5 and 7.2 seconds and finished third in the average.
 
The performance gave McIntyre back-to-back all-around titles at Colby after also winning the honor in her collegiate debut last September.
 
SWOSU's women finished third in the team standings with 175 points. Kayleah Hurst joined McIntyre in the Goat Tying short round and finished seventh in the average, while Kari Hepper added a seventh-place average finish in Breakaway. Carli Stuva finished sixth in the Barrel Racing average after placing fourth in the long round.
 
On the men's side, Kale Visnieski matched his best collegiate finish with a runner-up showing in the Bull Riding average. Visnieski scored 71 points in the long round before winning the short round with an 82-point ride.
 
Jaytyn Hash finished sixth in the Tie Down average after clocking an 11.7-second run to place fifth in the short round. Brody McAbee finished seventh in the Saddle Bronc average, highlighted by a 77-point ride in the short round that tied for fifth. Bryce Teut and his Northwestern Oklahoma State partner opened Team Roping with a 7.1-second run to place third in the long round before finishing eighth in the average.
 
The SWOSU men totaled 195 points to finish sixth in the team standings.
 
SWOSU Rodeo will have nearly a month away from competition before returning to action Oct. 8-10 at the Pratt Community College Rodeo in Pratt, Kansas.
