WEATHERFORD – Kinsey Geasland and Katja Blanchat took home the opening Bulldogs of the Week award for the 2026-27 athletic year. The weekly recognition is presented by Wright Media, the official partner for SWOSU athletic livestreams and radio broadcasts. 

Kinsey Geasland (Fort Worth, Texas) took home the honor in her first week as a Bulldog after scoring the game-tying goal in the season opener against Colorado Christian in the 87th minute. On the week, she totaled four shots on goal, tied for the top spot in the GAC. 

Katja Blanchat (Lindsborg, Kan.) had a strong opening weekend in Colorado, totaling 42 kills while hitting .481, which ranks No. 1 in the GAC, through four matches. In her match against Sul Ross State, she had 15 kills on 20 attempts with no errors. Her .750 hitting percentage is now the top mark in SWOSU program history.
