WEATHERFORD – Daniela Espinoza (women's golf) and Blaire Gentry (softball) have been named the Bulldogs of the Week, presented by Wright Media — the official partner for SWOSU athletic livestreams and radio broadcasts.

Espinoza (Culiacan, Mexico) recorded her highest-placing finish at the SMSU Classic over Spring Break, placing sixth. She had a nine-shot improvement from day one, firing an even-par 70 on day two. Her score matched the lowest round of the tournament and led SWOSU on the day.

Gentry (Lockesburg, Ark.) saw action in all three Bulldog wins over Spring Break, earning saves in each game. She threw three innings in both games against Newman. In the first game, she did not allow a single baserunner, and in game two she again threw three innings, allowing just three hits while keeping the board clean. In the win over No. 7 ranked Southern Arkansas, she pitched 6.1 innings after starting the game and allowing no earned runs. She later returned in extra innings to escape a two-out, bases-loaded jam, recording the final out to secure the top-10 upset.
