WEATHERFORD – Spring sport standouts Alexis Taylor (softball) and Landon Meyer (baseball) have been named the Bulldogs of the Week, presented by Wright Media — the official partner for SWOSU athletic livestreams and radio broadcasts.

Taylor (Frisco, Texas) was dominant in the circle last week, throwing two complete games while allowing just three hits across 13 innings. Against Upper Iowa, Taylor struck out 10 and recorded the first complete-game shutout of her career in a 1-0 victory. She followed with another strong outing against No. 18-ranked Rogers State, allowing just one run in the first inning before retiring 15 straight batters to close the game. Despite her effort, the Bulldogs came up short in a 1-0 loss.

Meyer (Lincoln, Neb.) powered SWOSU Baseball's four-game sweep of Adams State over the weekend, recording three separate three-hit performances. He hit three home runs, added two doubles, and finished the series 9-for-16 at the plate. Between RBIs and runs scored, Meyer accounted for 14 runs in the Bulldog offense.
