WEATHERFORD – A pair of SWOSU Football players, Red Martel and Aza'in Brown, have been named the newest Bulldogs of the Week. The weekly honor is presented by Wright Media, the official partner for SWOSU athletic livestreams and radio broadcasts.

Martel (Beggs, Okla.) rushed for 167 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's win over Southeastern Oklahoma State, helping lift the Bulldogs to their first victory of the season. He averaged 10.4 yards per carry and broke free for scores of 44 and 66 yards. His 167-yard performance ranks as the second-highest single-game rushing total in the Great American Conference this season.

Brown (Ennis, Texas) capped SWOSU's second-half defensive shutout with a 43-yard pick-six that stretched the Bulldogs' lead to 35-14 late in the fourth quarter. He also added three tackles and recorded his first interception of the season.
