ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – SWOSU Soccer was held scoreless in a 2-0 loss to No. 3 seed Ouachita Baptist on Friday in the semifinals of the Great American Conference Championship.
The Bulldogs generated multiple quality looks throughout the match, but Ouachita's goalkeeper turned away all six shots on goal to preserve the shutout.
SWOSU fell behind early when the Tigers converted in the 5th minute on a pass into the center of the box that was tapped home. Ouachita added its second goal in the 66th minute, capitalizing on a rebound after an initial save was deflected.
Despite the outcome, the Bulldogs controlled much of the statistical battle. SWOSU outshot Ouachita 15-10, held a 6-5 edge in shots on goal, and earned a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks, but could not find the finishing touch.
SWOSU closes the 2025 campaign at 11-5-3 — the program's first double-digit win season since 2021. The Bulldogs have now qualified for the GAC Tournament in all but two seasons since joining the league in 2011.
