WEATHERFORD – Maria Velilla and Cameron Turner have been selected as the latest Bulldogs of the Week, presented by Wright Media, the official partner for SWOSU athletic livestreams and radio broadcasts.

Velilla (Calatayud, Spain) earned the honor after finishing as runner-up at the Newman Invitational last week. In just her second collegiate tournament, the freshman shot rounds of 71 and 72 to finish one-under par and help the Lady Bulldogs secure a top-three team finish. For her performance, she was also named the Great American Conference Women's Golfer of the Week.

Turner (Deer Creek, Okla.) averaged 11.3 assists per set while leading the Bulldogs to a pair of conference victories. Against Southeastern, she dished out 41 assists — the highest single-match total in the GAC this season for a three-set match. Turner followed with 27 assists, 10 digs, and four kills in a sweep of Northwestern.
