ALVA, Okla. – SWOSU Soccer collected its second draw in the last three matches after battling Northwestern to a 0-0 result on Wednesday evening.
The two programs have now tied in three straight meetings — and five of the last six regular-season matchups — with three of those ending scoreless.
Goalkeeper Lexi Johnson notched her first clean sheet of the season in her first start, recording eight saves in the process.
Both teams created chances but couldn't capitalize. The Dawgs finished with six total shots, while Northwestern attempted 11 and held a 9-3 edge in shots on goal. SWOSU was also whistled for 12 fouls to the Rangers' four, while both sides earned two corner kicks.
The Bulldogs (8-2-2, 4-0-2 GAC) remain atop the Great American Conference standings, just ahead of Ouachita Baptist (3-0-3 GAC). They'll be back in action Saturday on the road at Southern Nazarene.
