SWOSU will look to open the new year on the right track when they head to Durant, Oklahoma to play against Southeastern Oklahoma State.

The Bulldogs are coming off a tough loss against league-leading Oklahoma Baptist in their final game before an extended break for the holidays. In this game the Dawgs only managed to shoot 34.4% from the field – their lowest mark of the year. Kray Rogers had his best game of his freshman season, scoring a game high 18 points on 7-of-16 shooting while knocking down four three-pointers.

Tobias Roland is still the leading scorer for the Dawgs with 15.8 points per game and adds 5.1 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game. MJ Warrior dishes out 4.8 assists per game which ranks him third in the GAC and his 1.6 steals also puts him in the top 10 in conference.

Southeastern enters the game with the third highest scoring offense in the conference at 82.6 points per game, but with the worst scoring defense at 84.3. This is an inverse of the Dawgs who have a top defense, only allowing 69.7 points a contest, but an offense that averages 67.8. SWOSU opponents shoot 29.5% from the deep ball which puts them as the second best three-point defense in the GAC while the Storm let up over 40% which is last in the league.

The Savage Storm has the worst turnover margin in the conference at -2.73 compared to the Dawgs at +1.40.

The Dawgs will be looking to win their first road game of the year. They sit at 0-2 this season in true away games with losses at Cameron and SNU.

Since 1998, SWOSU is 11-18 on the road against Southeastern. The Dawgs are 0-10 in their last 10 matchups in Durant dating back to January 20, 2016 when they last defeated the Storm inside Bloomer Sullivan Arena by an 89-82 final.
