RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference released the 2024 Preseason Soccer Coaches Poll on Tuesday where the Bulldogs were picked fourth.
Ouachita Baptist, last year's GAC Tournament champion, narrowly edged Oklahoma Baptist, last year's regular season champion, for the top spot. Both received three-first place votes. The final first-place nod went to Southern Nazarene who was third.

SWOSU's fourth place selection matches its finish from a year ago. The Bulldogs ended 5-11-3 overall and 5-5-2 in GAC play and were eliminated from the conference tournament semifinals after a 1-0 overtime defeat at the hands of top-seeded Oklahoma Baptist.
The new 2024 campaign kicks off September 5 at home against Central Oklahoma. Head coach
Mark Persson enters his 16th season at the helm.
