Burke (Houston, Texas) had a team high eight hits last week in an undefeated 5-0 week for the Bulldogs. In a 7-4 midweek win against No. 23-ranked Missouri Southern, he was 3-for-4 which included his first home run of the season. Burke currently leads the Dawgs with a .409 season batting average.
Leonard (Wichita Falls, Texas) earned his first win of the year on the mound after throwing 7.0 scoreless innings against Adams State in the series finale on Saturday. He struck out five, walked one, and pitched around three hits to help the Dawgs claim a weekend series sweep of the Grizzlies.
