WEATHERFORD – The SWOSU volleyball team secured its sixth consecutive victory with a 3-0 sweep over Cameron inside the Pioneer Event Center on Monday night.
The match was SWOSU's second to last non-conference affair of the season. They'll have one more next Tuesday (Oct. 22) when Midwestern State visits Weatherford.
The Bulldogs, who move to 11-6 with the win, posted a .282 hitting percentage with 43 kills while limiting Cameron to a .110 hitting percentage with 29 kills. Ten different SWOSU players recorded a kill, led by Lacy Mott with nine and Zoey Sparks with seven.
The Dawgs also held an edge in aces, 10-2, and blocks, 6-4. Keke Holloway and Lacy Mott each had two aces, while Sparks added three blocks. Jada Permenter led the defense with 12 digs. Terez Chavez (20) and Cameron Turner (15) combined for 35 assists.
With the win, SWOSU now looks ahead to a pivotal road trip where they'll face conference co-leader Harding on Thursday and Arkansas Tech on Friday.
