WEATHERFORD, Okla. – SWOSU Baseball fell behind 8-2 against Southern Nazarene in Tuesday's midweek but got strong relief performances from the bullpen and had the offense come alive with a pair of five-run innings – eventually going on to defeat SNU 16-9. It was the fourth win over SNU this season, this one being a scheduled non-conference affair.
SWOSU moves to 20-19 on the season and gets back in the win column heading into a road trip to face Southern Arkansas this weekend who sits in the top-10 in both national polls.
Bryson Armstrong, Logan Lagasse, and Matt Milner combined to throw over five innings of scoreless relief, scattering just two hits between the trio.
Geoff Marlow hit his 11th homerun of the season and finished 2-4 with three RBI. Connor Jeffers also finished 2-4 with three RBI.
Five Bulldogs had multi-hit games.
Trailing 8-2, SWOSU got five runs in the third inning to make the margin manageable and got another five in the fifth to overtake SNU for good. They would go on to score 14 unanswered runs and win decisively.
