WEATHERFORD – Eight members of SWOSU Football were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, announced this week by the organization.
 
SWOSU's recipients include:

• Carson Creach, Major: Entrepreneurship
• Logan Engle, Major: Management
• Isaac Foster, Major: Exercise Science
• Andrew Horton, Major: Health Information Management
• Jacob Karsak, Major: Health Sciences
• Peyton McNutt, Major: Sports Management
• Logan Monroe, Major: Exercise Science
• Tye Tucker, Major: Management

Engle, Foster, Karsak, and Monroe all earn the recognition for a second straight year, while Creach, Horton, McNutt, and Tucker are first time recipients.
 
Academic All-District selections were based on combined academic and athletic performances/participation among other qualifications. One must also hold a 3.5 minimum cumulative GPA.
 
The 2023 Academic All-District® Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field or court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
