MONTICELLO, Ark. – SWOSU Volleyball made quick work of Arkansas-Monticello on Thursday night, winning in straight sets to kick off a two-game Arkansas conference road swing.
The Bulldogs move to 8-2 in Great American Conference play after collecting the third sweep of the season and second against a conference foe.
After a close first set that finished 25-21, the Dawgs wasted no more time in getting out of Monticello with a victory. They finished off UAM by scores of 25-11 and 25-13 in the second and third.
SWOSU sets a new season best for opponent hitting percentage after holding the Cottom Blossoms in the negatives. UAM finished -.063; meanwhile, the Dawgs sat at a solid .226.
Maicee Morgan (10) reached double-digit kills to lead the offense. Lacy Mott finished with a team high 14 digs. The defense out-blocked the Blossoms 11-3 at the net.
The team gets right back to action tomorrow at 4:00 pm. They'll head to Magnolia, Arkansas and face off with Southern Arkansas.
