WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The SWOSU soccer team fell to Midwestern State 4-0 in Wichita Falls earlier today.
SWOSU put themselves in positions to score in the first half, but they could not capitalize on the chances. They attempted six shots and four corner kicks in the period. The game would almost go into halftime at a draw until MSU scored with less than five minutes left in the half.
The second half is where Midwestern State would pull away. They scored a 57' goal and a 62' goal to go up 3-0. The Mustangs outshot the Dawgs in total shots (14-11) and shots on goal (8-4) throughout the game.
Alimata Rabo had a team high four shots in 58 minutes of play.
Micaella Swain and
Ruth Vasquez both added two shots and a shot on goal apiece.
SWOSU goes to 1-4-2 on the year with this loss. They are back in action quick as they will head south to Ada on Thursday to face East Central at 3:00 PM.
