Ashley Hughes earned the Defender and Goalkeeper honors.
GAC DEFENDER OF THE WEEK – Nicole Petrino, Southwestern Oklahoma State, Jr., Albuquerque, New Mexico
Petrino picked up the first GAC Defender of the Week accolade of her career after she played the full 180 minutes in the Bulldogs' opening weekend matches against MIAA foes Northeastern State and Central Missouri. The SWOSU defense surrendered just one goal in each contest.
GAC GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK – Ashley Hughes, Southwestern Oklahoma State, Fr., Sydney, Australia
Hughes tallied 19 saves as the Bulldogs split their first two contests. She recorded 10 in a 3-1 season-opening victory against Northeastern State. She followed up with nine against Central Missouri. She allowed just one goal in each match. Her 19 saves matched the total number of saves she made in 613 minutes of action during the Spring 2021 season.
