WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The SWOSU Soccer team played #20-ranked Oklahoma Baptist to a 0-0 draw on Saturday afternoon at the Athletic Complex in Weatherford.
OBU managed 15 shots compared to 10 for the Bulldogs, with the Bison also having a slight edge of 5-4 in shots on goal. The Bison had all three shots in the two extra periods, but SWOSU's goalkeeper
Ashley Hughes made one of her five saves in the first overtime period to keep the game scoreless.
Micaela Swain and
Brooke Scott had three shots apiece and one shot on goal each to lead the attack for SWOSU while
Sola Tsuruta and
Brianna Benitez also place one shot attempt on goal in the match.
SWOSU is now 4-2-1 on the year and 3-1-1 in conference play with one league game remaining. The Bulldogs will play a scrimmage with Central Oklahoma on Monday afternoon at 3:30 pm before closing out the regular season in Ada, Okla., next Saturday at East Central.
