WEATHERFORD, Okla. – For the second straight match, the SWOSU Volleyball team was on the short end of a three-set match against the No. 8-ranked team in NCAA Division II as Oklahoma Baptist picked up a victory on Tuesday night at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center.
Set scores from the match were 25-13, 25-20, 25-19.
SWOSU was led by eight kills apiece from
Samantha Kuzma,
Taryn Galt and
Chezney Nielsen, but the Bulldogs were limited to an attack percentage of .130 with 36 kills and 19 hitting errors.
Allie Hoang led the Dawgs with 29 assists and
Sophia DeSantiago led the team with 14 digs while serving SWOSU's lone service ace.
Emma Cohalla had two blocks – one solo, one assist – in addition to seven kills.
The Bulldogs are now 4-4 on the year and 4-3 in Great American Conference play with three matches remaining in the regular season. They will return to action next Tuesday, March 23, with a trip to Durant to face Southeastern Oklahoma State.
